Presumably the last of the Jon Shannow novels, this book includes a fast-moving plot, plenty of characters sometimes hard to remember gemmmell is who and a lot of action, including a lot of death, shooting and injuries temmell well as a healthy mix of the supernatural and a wee bit of science-fiction.
Twenty years during which Shannow was missing and the Deacon ruled from Unity, intent on building a new promised land. I was a bit disappointed in the ending, and the time travel aspects got a bit confusing at times.
