I also really like the idea of time freezing; it sounds like a made-up thing, but this book makes it seem real.
They are all sent, along with Emily, to a place outside of time, called a time hollow. In the process, Andrea saves a man from drowning, who they discover is her grandfather, John White. The story would make more sense, obviously and it would be more interesting. If you haven’t read this series, you should start on book number one, Found.
Not only can I visualize what I’m reading, but I can feel how the characters have matured through the series. Around chapter nine something unexpected happens and it the key to returning back to the 21st century. This book wasn’t just another time travel adventure – it was an adventure that involved Albert Einstein, but more so his wife and daughter.
Other books cwught the series. Through the Ever Night. Caught was a fast paced novel with many unexpected twists and turns by Margaret Haddix.
A tracer is s ghostly version of something that shows what really happened if time never got messed up. Although this is middle grade fiction, there was some good writing that seemed to leave an impact on me at the end.
I almost cried at one point and 3 pages before the end of the book, I almost screamed because I thought I knew where Haddix was going and couldn’t believe she would treat her readers so sadistically.
They know that something must have happened, but when and where?! The complexity and paradoxes of time travel are really making me nuts. The story had a message – use your time wisely, etc, but it was truly all just magnificent.
