I understand it’s a BDSM book, but the Heroine was so weak in character that it made me dislike her overall. The emotional aspects of the story are of equal if not more importance than the plot. Shipped to over one million happy customers.
This story reminded me of the Black Swan movie, but in a much better ending and a whole lot sexier. I will say that the heroine’s timid persona got a little old after a while, but I still like her character.

Set amidst a revolutionary production of Stravinsky’s “Firebird” we witness a corps dancer’s struggle with her rise from obscurity to lead. What happens right after in his place is J undermining with his own statements the very trust she too easily gave him. She glanced up into the light rigging and blinded herself. Her talk was mostly incoherrent articles, “I don ‘t know” s and responds to barked commands in which she just repeated what was asked of her.
Rated 5 angels and a Recommended Read by Bella! But Jackson, the choreographer, is as hot as he is demanding. They’re monogamous and no hardcore shit. After all, she needed the Hero in a lot of ways: But Prosper feels the burden of carrying the Firebird ballet on her back, and Jackson knows that his time in New York will draw to an end all too soon.

Her technique was so beautiful, her body so slender and perfectly proportioned. I love, love, love tension between characters at the start of a romance! Jackson and Prosperity work well and play even better in Firebird.

I found myself early on wondering how they were going to make this work after Jackson went back to Chicago, dreading any possible outcome that would make them only a Happily For Now. In paper, that was poorly achieved. She knew she was just being paranoid. I thought the balance between the romantic aspects of the story and the hot, scorching hot, sex scenes is the reason I enjoyed this book so much.
The Hero was also interesting, but I found her too dependent upon his every wish fitebird me to enjoy the read. I get why she would have felt that way as annabeel child but she was a grown ass woman.

This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Their scenes are serious but sweet and romantic too. What a wonderful book. Lawrence looked surprised but deferred to him with a nod.
I liked the scene where they first meet at the coffee shop after communicating anonymously online. No wishy washy dialogue or Fabio hero, it’s hard, it’s tough and it’s love.
A story of a ballerina and her choreographer, Firebird read like a ballet in itself- sweet and graceful at times, but mysterious and tension filled at others. Still I doubt think that you can go wrong with this author for the genre. She will be the new principal in his ballet, unquestionably.
